About Us

A-1 Garden Hose
Is a Garden hose, Fire Hose and industrial hose internet company that will supply all your hoses. (Let me tell you why I started the company.) I have another service company, I use a garden hose almost every day. I work out of a service van, with all the parts and tools, I have very limited room. I need every inch of floor space.
For years I used vinyl garden hoses, they work ok but when I put a 100 foot hose on a hose reel it takes a lot of needed space. I looked a long time for a better way, I checked out a lot of hoses, yes I checked out the flat hoses seen on TV. After I saw the poor quality of these products I gave up.
One day I was out of my area purchasing parts and equipment. I saw an Econoflo® flat hose, it looked like a very Hi quality hose, unlike the other hoses. I purchased two 50 foot Econoflo® hoses, they were so compact and light weight. I can store this hose on a shelf in my van and not in my floor.
I used the hose and I loved it. In fact I loved it so much I wanted to purchase more hoses. It was over 50 miles to where I purchased the hoses. I saw they were assembled by: Oklahoma League for the Blind, I contacted the Sales Manager to find a local distributor.
He informed me they did not have one in my area. He asked me if I would like to become a distributor, I told him I wanted to buy hoses not sell them. I felt I could locate an Econoflo® hose. I checked a lot of sources and found few places. I called the Sales Manager back to see what it would take to become a distributor.
If I was going to become an Econoflo® hose distributor, I wanted to know about the organization I would be working with. I started with the Oklahoma League for the Blind. I found they are (a not for profit organization.) They provide jobs for the Visually challenged. There motto is: Improving Lives One Job At A Time. They provide the public with very good products and they have a very good reputation. They have been serving Oklahoma for a very long time, Since 1949.
The Niedner company that supplies the materials for Econoflo® hoses, to Oklahoma League for the Blind, has been manufacturing fire fighting equipment for over 100 years.

In summary
If I can market one of the best products I have seen, help provide jobs for the visually challenged. The Visually challenged wins because that helps them have jobs and everyone that buys one of my products wins because they get a very good product, this is a win, win situation.
